The Great Media Group | AfishaThe Great Media Group is located in the Northwestern region of the United States, where approximately half a million Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking people reside. Our radio station broadcasts on KXPD 1040 AM and serves as an information source as well as a creative space for all Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking residents of our two states — Washington and Oregon.

Programming Focus

Our programs are thoughtfully crafted to inform, educate, entertain, and inspire all ages:

News & Information: Daily updates on local and international news, along with critical information on immigration, health, housing, legal resources, education, and community safety. Special segments feature expert interviews and practical advice tailored specifically for immigrant families navigating life in the United States.
Youth & Bilingual Content: Programs specifically designed for young listeners and bilingual families include engaging discussions on education, college preparedness, career guidance, mental health, and personal development. Additionally, we cover popular culture, technology, and entertainment topics, bridging generational gaps by using an accessible mix of English, Russian, and Ukrainian.
Community Talk Shows: Interactive community talk shows allow local leaders, educators, healthcare professionals, and activists to address relevant civic issues, share valuable resources, and discuss community events and initiatives. Listeners actively participate through call-ins, messages, and social media interactions, fostering a vibrant dialogue that strengthens community bonds.
